Cup-and-ring marked boulder, Kearton Rigg, West Loups', Lartington (Bowes)

This rock carries the remains of cup and ring marks on it. These carvings probably date to the Late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age. Their purpose is not known, but they may have a religious meaning. These carvings are Scheduled Ancient Monuments protected by law (1).
