Cup-marked boulder, Howgill Grange, Baldersdale, Hunderthwaite (Romaldkirk)

This sandstone boulder has a number of cup marks carved onto it. These carvings were probably created in the Early Bronze Age or Late Neolithic. The purpose of these markings is not clear though they may have had a religious function (1).
