Denton, St. Mary's (Denton)

A chapel was first built on this site in the late 12th century. A new chapel was built in 1810, but this was pulled down in 1890. A new chapel was built nearby. The outline of the old chapel is visible nearby. The remains of 18th and 19th century gravestones were found on this site.
