Piercebridge, St. Mary's (Piercebridge)

A chapel dedicated to St Mary once stood at this site. A slight stone wall with a round-arched doorway can still be seen. This chapel was probably built in the medieval (1066 to 1540) period and was certainly standing by 1546.
