Hadrian's Wall (Acomb; Sandhoe; Wall; Corbridge)

This section of Hadrian's Wall runs from Portergate Cottage to the Milecastle 24. The Wall runs beneath the B6318 for the entire length of this section, though the remains of the ditch survive well, as do the remains of the vallum. The Wall is a Scheduled Monument protected by law.
