Windlestone Hall Prisoner Of War Camp 4 and hospital, Rusheyford, County Durham (Windlestone)

Possible site of a World War Two prisoner of war camp. Included in a site list complied by English Heritage, it appears that this site, noted in contemporary documentation, has been completely demolished and the exact location is unknown. It is also recorded that Windlestone Hall was used during the First World War as the 19th Durham VA Hospital (1).
