The methodist chapel first appears on the second edition Ordnance Survey maps of 1894-99 (1) and then as an enlarged building on the third editions (2) with a similar footprint to how the church appears now. Streetview images from 2009 (3) show a red-brick building with a broad south facing gable fronting onto a parking area on the north side of Green's Street. There is a porch projected from the eastern wall with the entrance at the top of a flight of six stone steps, accessed by a gate through a low brick wall. There is a large central window with arched stone border above a colour sign bearing the church name. To either side of this is a triple window with arched tops whilst at the top of the gable there is a stone plaque with the name and date of the church. A stone belfry sits on the apex of the gable with pillars and a conical cap. The church is known to contain at least two features dedicated as war memorials (4).
